As a member of the Maine State Bar Association, you are invited – and encouraged – to use the MSBA’s “Proud Member” logo on your business materials. There is no charge for the use of the logo because it is a benefit of MSBA membership.
Displaying the MSBA’s Proud Member logo sends a strong message to your clients and fellow attorneys that you are committed to the growth and success of your law firm and to the legal community. Attorneys who complete the logo use agreement will be provided with .jpg files of the Proud Member logo.
These guidelines are provided to ensure the MSBA’s Proud Member logo is used appropriately. Users must comply with these policies:
1. All requests for use of the Proud Member logo must include a signed logo use agreement. Logo use agreements are valid for one year.
2. The Proud Member logo may be displayed on your company website, printed material, and promotional material. It may not be used on other goods such as shirts, mugs, pens, calendars, etc.)
3. You must be a current, voting member of the MSBA in good standing.
4. All membership categories of the MSBA are individual memberships; therefore, the Proud Member logo may not be used on a law firm’s website unless all attorneys with the firm are current MSBA members.
5. Any use of the Proud Member logo online should be hyperlinked directly to the MSBA website at www.mainebar.org.
6. The Proud Member logo may not be used in political advertisements of any kind.
7. No person eligible to use the Proud Member logo shall do so in such a way that might reasonably be interpreted as an endorsement, evaluation, certification, or recommendation by the MSBA of that person.
8. The Proud Member logo may not be altered. No changes can be made to the color, text, shape, scale, or orientation of the logo.
9. The Proud Member logo should always stand alone. No text or graphics may intrude the space directly surrounding it.
10. You may not display the Proud Member logo in any manner that disparages the MSBA or its products or services.
11. The Proud Member logo may not be used to advertise non-legal services. (Example: a lawyer-accountant may not use the Proud Member logo to advertise accounting services.)
12. The MSBA reserves the right to terminate or modify permission to display the MSBA’s Proud Member logo at any time.
