NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE ON

ADVISORY COMMITTEES ON MAINE RULES OF COURT

 

The Supreme Judicial Court invites members of the Bar to update their interest in serving on any of following advisory committees.

  • Advisory Committee on Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Advisory Committee on Rules of Evidence
  • Advisory Committee on Maine Family Rules
  • Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics
  • Advisory Committee on Probate Rules
  • Advisory Committee on Professional Conduct
  • Advisory Committee on Rules of Unified Criminal Procedure
  • Family Law Advisory Committee
  • Board of Bar Examiners
  • Board of Overseers of the Bar
  • Committee on Judicial Responsibility & Disability
  • Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Service Committee (CADRES)
  • Court Appointed Special Advocate Advisory Panel (CASA)
  • Lawyers Fund for Client Protection
  • Maine Civil Legal Services Commission
  • Probate and Trust Law Advisory Commission
  • GAL Review Board
  • Maine Assistance Program for Lawyers Commission

Because the Court is updating its committee information, please send me your interest even if you have previously expressed interest in a committee.  Attorneys who wish to be considered for appointment to any of these boards or committees should specify the boards or committees for which they wish to be considered and their contact information, on or before December 31, 2019, to: amanda.j.martin@courts.maine.gov.

The Court is also in the process of updating nonlawyer membership on several committees.  If you are familiar with any nonlawyer Mainers who would be interested in any of the boards or committees, please do not hesitate to make a recommendation for the court’s consideration.  Again, that information should be sent to amanda.j.martin@courts.maine.gov.
