Achieving a Successful Outcome in Mediation: A Mediator's Perspective on Preparation and Presentation

The New Lawyers and ADR Sections of the MSBA are pleased to bring this nuts-and-bolts program on how advocates can achieve a successful outcome in mediation. As we see fewer trials and more mediations in general civil litigation matters, it is essential for lawyers to learn and hone skills as advocates in mediation. An experienced panel of mediators will provide key information on how to prepare your client, effectively present your case in a mediation, develop your negotiations strategy tool kit, and effectively close and memorialize the deal with maximum client satisfaction.

Topics include:

  • Mediation Preparation
  • Mediation Presentation
  • Negotiation and Closing the Deal: Panel Discussion
