The Women's Law Section is one of the most active, dynamic and fastest growing parts of the Maine State Bar Association. Chaired this year by Rebecca Webber and Ivy Frignoca, the Section membership numbers over 300 and growing. Its impact and active member involvement is statewide.
Local Area Women's Law Networks
Around the state, women lawyers get together for educational programs and networking. In the Portland area, Erin Raccah and Cynthia Dill have organized local meetings. They can be contacted at eraccah@PierceAtwood.com and dillesquire@aol.com. In the Augusta area, Tina Panayides is the person to contact. She can be reached at legal@mecasa.org. Further north, in the Ellsworth area, Sarah Ruef-Lindquist is at the helm. Others are always welcome to either begin local gatherings in their own areas or collaborate with those who are already doing so. Contact the co-chairs about assistance in getting started, how to get the word out, who to contact, or anything else on your mind.
Membership in the Women's Law Section
Membership in the Maine State Bar Association is necessary to be a member of the Women's Law Section, but there is no additional cost above MSBA dues. MSBA members simply notify the Bar Association of their desire to be added as a member of the Women's Law Section.
We hope to welcome you!
