The purposes of the Intellectual Property Section are:

1. to advocate improvement in the law of intellectual property
   
   
2. to promote better understanding of its principles and to inform its members and other interested members of the Bar as to developments in the law
   
   
3. to undertake projects for the education of members of the Bar and interested members of the general public in the law of intellectual property
   
   
4. to cooperate with sections of the ABA and other state bar associations having similar interests
