The purpose of the International Practice Section is:

1. to promote interest, activity and research in international and comparative law and related areas; to further its development;
   
2. to diffuse knowledge thereof among members of the legal profession and others; to formulate professional opinion thereon;
   
3. to promote professional relationships with lawyers similarly engaged in foreign countries;
   
4. to promote goodwill, camaraderie, and shared wisdom among members of the Section; and
   
5. to advance the rule of law in the world.
