MSBA Legislative Update REGULATORY DATABASE December 18, 2009 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE Happy Holidays everyone! Proposed legislation has started to be printed and introduced, so this week you will start receiving your updated Legislative Database. We have also provided you with your updated Regulatory Database, and the final transmission of the Meetings of Interest Database. With the Legislature convening January 6, we will start to provide you with Weekly Legislative and Regulatory Reports, highlighting the meetings and work sessions of the various legislative Committees. SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET Gov. Baldacci has unveiled his supplemental budget proposals to the Legislature, and we anticipate the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee to start public hearings during early January. We will be providing a separate Legislative Alert regarding the provisions of the supplemental budget, and encourage everyone to closely review the proposals for impacts of interest and concern to you. We look forward to working with all of you during the upcoming Legislative Session, and wish you all a very happy holiday season.
