MSBA Legislative Update

February 12, 2010

LEGISLATURE TO HAVE SHORT WEEK

The week of February 15 will be a short week for the Maine State Legislature. Monday, February 15 is a state holiday so all offices will be closed, and Tuesday, February 16 is a mandated state shut-down day being used as a budget saving mechanism, so all state offices and legislative offices will be closed (except for certain exceptions). It is also school vacation week in Maine, so many legislators are hoping for abbreviated days at the State House in order to spend time with families.

JUDICIAL CONFIRMATION HEARINGS SCHEDULED
