WORKER'S COMPENSATION LAW SECTION

ARTICLE I: IDENTIFICATION
    1.1 NAME This Section shall be known as "The Section of Workers' Compensation Law" and shall be hereinafter designed simply as the "Section".

    1.2 PURPOSE The general purposes of the Section shall be the promotion of the objects of the Maine State Bar Association. To that end, it shall be the purpose o f this Section to: improve the administration of justice by: (a) providing continuing education to the Bar and others involved in workers compensation issues; and (b) facilitate communication among legislators, commissioners, attorneys, insurers, unions and others affected by Maines Workers' Compensation System.
    1.3 LIMITATION These By-Laws have been adopted subject to the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association, and particularly Article XV thereof.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP
    2.1 ENROLLMENT Any member in good standing of the Association, shall, upon request to the Secretary of the Association, be enrolled as a member of the Section
    2.2 THE MEMBERSHIP Members so enrolled pursuant to the provisions of this Article shall constitute the Membership of the Section.
    2.3 LAW STUDENTS Any law student who is a member of the Law Student Division of the Association may become a law student member of the Section upon request. Law Student members are entitled to such rights, privileges, responsibilities and duties as the Section shall from time to time determine. The term "member" as used in these by-laws does not include law student members.
