The Family Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association is pleased to offer a daylong CLE on a variety of essential topics for the twenty-first century family law practitioner. Maine continues to grow and diversify, and it is the goal of this CLE to present timely must-know topics for family law attorneys, so that they may keep pace with the changing landscape. The morning will focus on financial topics in divorce, including a presentation on more complex tax issues and financial planning, followed by a presentation on issues of tracing and marital versus non-marital property. The afternoon session will feature a presentation on the nuts and bolts of immigration law for the family law practitioner, a presentation on the UCCJEA and finish with an ethics/professional presentation on cultural issues in family law. I hope to see many section members in attendance.
